Microfinance services for low-income individuals is an effective instrument for poverty alleviation, helping entrepreneurs meet their basic financial needs. Most of the Yuwaddy Ahmahn Microfinance clients are females and they are provided with access to loans as well as entrepreneurial skills trainings including topics such as client relations, profit management, use of sales and discounts, product selection and separation of household and business finances.  The purpose of such training is to improve business performance and thus shifted household decision-making power to women.
